What is sexological bodywork?

Sexological Bodyworkers are somatic sex educators, supporting individuals, couples and groups to learn to direct their own erotic development, learn about their bodies, sex and sexuality, or work through sexual issues or concerns.

We offer experiential learning opportunities that consciously access profound ecstatic and erotic states. Our teaching involves a variety of instructive modalities, including breathwork, touch, erotic massage, pelvic release work, scar tissue remediation, and Orgasmic Yoga coaching.

One of the somatic realms that Sexological Bodyworkers introduce to our students is a state of arousal that is free of fantasy, unfinished emotional business, religious dogma, cultural caveats and habitual sexual behaviors. In this meditative state, an individual becomes aware of the body as a source of wisdom and freedom. One of the ways to access this fecund state is by actively receiving a Taoist Erotic Massage. Helping others access and make use of a variety of erotic states is foundational to the education we offer.

Sexological Bodyworkers believe that sexual health and erotic education are basic human rights.

Our profession began in California in 2003. We are trained sexologists whose certification there is approved by the State of California. We are a legal profession in many countries and we are working towards legality in other countries.

Do you have a professional code of ethics?

Yes!  As a member of the Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (ACSB), I adhere to their professional standards, found here.

Some highlights are that as a Sexological Bodyworker:

*I will not date or have sex with my clients.

*I will always keep their best interest in mind.

*My clients' confidentiality is of utmost importance to me and I will not share their information without a court order.

*I may use physical touch with the consent of the student, when done for healing and/or educational purposes.

*When touching clients' genitals, I use gloves.

*During sexological bodywork sessions, I will keep my clothes on.

*You should know that although I work with an educational and healing modality, I am not a trained therapist or medical practitioner.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

I never do hands-on bodywork on first appointments.

When you book an appointment, I will send you an intake form to guide your thinking before our visit  Together, we will decide on goals for our time together.  I will have some questions about your sexual history, but the focus will be on what brought you here today.

Appointments always include some level of body awareness exercises, and talking about boundaries--yours and mine.  We may come up with home play exercises if that is something that excites you.
